Pioneer Studios was born in 2014 when Reinhard and Melissa Smit were married on the beach in Paternoster where they fell in love with not only each other - but with love itself, and story telling of the people who do. Today - almost 11 years, 1000 weddings and 5 kids later - we still live for telling the stories we document.
Reinhard is a self taught film maker who believes that every film needs to be a beautiful cinematic masterpiece that will remain timeless, and Melissa studied photography and comes from the old-school film era - where every image has to count.
And over the years we have put together an amazing team of brilliant photo and film creators - our associates aka Pioneer Studios & Company
As a husband and wife team, we bring synergy to your wedding day as we've perfected working together effortlessly. And our team are all professional and experienced storytellers in the industry.
We dont just offer you photo and film - we bring wedding planning to the table by creating a complete wedding day timeline for you, which eases the planning of your entire day - not only for photo and film, but also for everything else from makeup to dinner time. It sets you up for a beautifully relaxed day with enough time to take everything in, peacefully. And for us to create the best possible memories for you.
Your photos are delivered on an online gallery - call it your own website - that is active an entire year after your wedding. You can share it with friends and family, as well as download in high and low resolution. Your gallery has a shop function where you can order various printables like albums, at your leisure.

Our online booking hub secures all your documentation with us throughout the process which you can access any time and, when you select and confirm the booking that most speaks to your requirements, an invoice and agreement will be available on your client profile.
You will receive a confirmation email with links - first to reserve your engagement session and second for an online timeline meeting with us.
